AP Chemistry is one of the hardest AP exams on the board. But hard doesn’t mean impossible — it means students need the right preparation. I’ve spent 10 years inside AP Chemistry classrooms. I know exactly where students get stuck, and how to get them unstuck.
Free 20-minute consult · No commitment · Online via Zoom
AP Chemistry tutoring works best when the student is genuinely trying — and needs someone who understands both the content and the exam.
We’ll build a systematic plan from exactly where they are right now.
We focus on AP-specific exam strategy — not just reviewing content they already know.
We’ll map out the right rhythm together in the free Check-In — no package to commit to first.
Most chemistry tutors learned the material in college or from a textbook. I teach AP Chemistry as a full-time high school teacher — this is my actual job, not a side hustle.
I inherited my AP Chemistry classroom from a 50-year veteran teacher who shaped how AP Chemistry was taught in our district. I’ve been building the curriculum myself since, and I know exactly what the College Board expects on every unit and every FRQ type.
Three steps to get your student from where they are now to where they need to be by May.
A 20-minute Zoom call — no forms, no commitment. We talk through where your student is, what they’re struggling with, and whether I’m the right fit. If I’m not, I’ll tell you.
I’ll recommend the right amount of support based on your student’s needs and timeline — no package to decide on in advance. If it’s a fit, we lock in a recurring Saturday time.
Students submit their homework or topic 48 hours before each call. I build the session around what they actually need. Recap notes go out after every session.
Pre-session prep. I review the submitted homework before we meet and build the session around your student’s specific questions — not a generic lesson plan.
Session recap notes. A written summary of what we covered, sent right after the call so students can review before the next class.
Async homework review. Between sessions, students can send questions. I give written feedback before the next call — even on a Tuesday before a Wednesday exam.
AP exam strategy. FRQ technique, time management, how the College Board awards partial credit. The stuff the textbook doesn’t teach.
Custom practice materials. Worked examples and practice problems built around your student’s weak spots — not recycled worksheets from the internet.
Top-up blocks available. Need more time during exam season? Add 4 sessions at the same per-session rate, no penalty, no new contract.
Every AP Chemistry student is at a different point. The free Check-In is how I figure out the right amount of support for yours — then I’ll give you a straight answer on what it costs.
